The Little bustard – Tetrax tetrax is a medium sized ground bird species of the family Otididae. It is widely distributed across S Europe and from Turkey into SW and Central Asia. In the AWB Region it is resident in Morocco, Central Turkey and NE Iran. In Morocco the summer range extends a little to the S in winter, in Turkey there are wintering grounds and also in S Palestine, Azerbaijan, and NW and NE Iran. The nearest breeding range is in the N Caucasus.
