Persian shearwater

The Persian shearwater – Puffinus persicus  is a Shearwater of Type – seabird Family Procellariidae and Order Procellariiformes. It is a tropical pelagic seabird of the NW Indian Ocean, having two subspecies one in the N around the coasts of Arabia and Somalia which breeds on the Kuria Muria Islands and Socotra, and the second one with a much smaller range around the Comoros Islands where it also breeds. Outside of the breeding season it is pelagic and the northern subspecies is found as an Accidental at the northern ends of the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf.
