The Rostratulidae – Painted-snipes+ or Rostratulidae – Painted-snipes are a family of Type – Wader of the Order Charadriiformes. They are visually similar to the true Snipes but are much more brightly coloured. At the moment the Painted-snipes are the only sub-family in Rostratulidae.
