Swinhoe’s storm-petrel

The Swinhoe’s storm-petrel – Hydrobates monorhis is a small marine species of Type – seabird of the Northern storm-petrel family Hydrobatidae. It breeds in the islands of the NW Pacific Ocean but outside of the breeding season it ranges westwards to the Northern Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea. In the AWB Region it is found offshore of the Horn of Africa, the adjacent coast of Yemen and further Eastwards into S Oman. It is also recorded as being Accidental as far North as the UAE coast of the Gulf of Oman.

Type - seabird - colonial breeder, nests in crevices close to the sea, nocturnal, 
Summer Habitat - isolated islands of the NW Pacific, 
Winter Habitat - pelagic in NW Pacific and N Indian Oceans,
