The Yelkouan Shearwater – Puffinus yelkouan – is a mid-sized migratory shearwater of Type – seabird, Family Procellariidae and Order Procellariiformes. It is native to the Mediterranean where it breeds on islands and coastal cliffs. Outside of the breeding season it is pelagic around the Mediterranean and the Black Sea. As noted above any AWB Country bordering these seas will have the opportunity to view this species offshore.
