Short-toed Snake-eagle – Circaetus gallicus – is a medium-large eagle of the Family Accipitridae, Order Accipitriformes and Type – diurnal-raptor. It is a summer migrant across Eurasia from Portugal to eastern Kazakhstan, with the notable exception of Central Europe. It is also a summer visitor to the Maghreb, the Levant, and the northern Middle East. The wintering area is the Sahel. There is a separate resident population across the Indian sub-continent.
