Pallas’s Fish-Eagle

Pallas’s Fish-Eagle – Haliaeetus leucoryphus – is a large Sea-Eagle (Despite its common name) of the Family Accipitridae, Order Accipitriformes and is of Type – diurnal-raptor. It is found across Central Asia, and is migratory in its Northern range but South of the Himalayas it becomes resident across the northern Indo-tropic Region. Within the AWB Region it is resident in a small area of Eastern Iran.

Habitat Breeding - Large wetlands, big lakes and rivers in lowland and upland ares
Habitat Nesting - Nests in large trees next to water or cliffs in upland regions
