The Phalacrocoracidae – Cormorants & Shags is a Family of medium to large Seabirds of the Order Suliformes. They are widely distributed across the World’s Oceans but are more coastal than oceanic. They have a thin long bill and webbed feet with short wings and are excellent surface divers. They nest colonially in trees or cliffs near the sea shore or more occasionally by inland waters.
